Well, 2025 is here! It’s a new year, and it’s usually the time people make resolutions or goals for the year ahead. Some friends and I got together and made BINGO cards for 2025. Now, it’s not the BINGO game you’re probably thinking about, like B-4 and I-22. In each of the boxes, we put a goal we hope to attain in 2025.
It was a great afternoon! Our BINGO cards were fun to design and decorate, we were able to chat and catch up with friends, and we documented 24 things we want to achieve in 2025. It was a win-win-win!
Some of my goals are physical goals, like losing weight, drinking more water, eating more protein. Some of my goals are spiritual goals, like reading the New Testament in a year and writing in a gratitude journal weekly. Some of my goals are social or relational, like getting together with friends ten times in the year or going on a trip with my sister.
When I was writing down my goals in preparation for our craft afternoon, one thing I did not do was pray about my goals. This is something I thought about after I made my BINGO card. Proverbs 16:3 says, “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.” So, now I will ask God to bless my goals and to guide me as I work on achieving my goals in 2025. Maybe He will guide me to change my goals or tweak them a bit. I want God in on the process as His plans are better than mine, as He knows the whole story!
God really does want what is best for me. Romans 8:28 says this: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
Our group plans to check in with each other regularly throughout the year to see how everyone is doing with their goals. I also plan to pray about my goals throughout the year as well!
Here I am with my friend Linda with our BINGO cards:
Thanks for reading friends, and happy new year!
Love,
Julie
