About this time of the term, the excitement of school starting begins to wear off. As my energy wanes, so too does my guard fall. Then, the words slip out…
I love Jesus, but I cuss a little. I'm not perfect. When I am worn and weary, I sometimes let my guard down. I think this is why Jesus took rest from his labor—to rejuvenate so that he would be able to resist temptation; to “be still” (Psalm 46:10) and listen for God’s loving, comforting, guiding voice. I’m so needing some rest this weekend!
